Product UX and frontend cleanup
From £1,100
A focused pass over a live product rather than a rebuild. The type scale, spacing set, and interaction states get written down so the next change matches the last one, and the friction points that make a screen tiring to use get fixed in place. Usually the right call when the underlying build is sound and the problem is that it grew without a system.
Best for: A product that works but feels inconsistent or slower than it should
- Documented type scale, spacing tokens, and colour roles
- Accessible focus, hover, disabled, and error states across components
- Responsive fixes at the breakpoints that actually break
- A written list of what changed and why, so the team can keep applying it

From £1,500
Wiring a frontend to something that was not designed for it. Typed contracts at the boundary, validation before data reaches your logic, retries with backoff where the call is safe to repeat, idempotency keys where it is not, and a defined fallback for every third-party call so an outage elsewhere degrades one feature instead of the page. Signing and secrets stay server-side.
Best for: Payment gateways, CRMs, and internal APIs that need to be reliable
- Typed request and response contracts with validation at the boundary
- Retry, timeout, and idempotency behaviour decided per call
- A defined fallback for every third-party dependency
- Diagnostic logging that never records secrets or full payment payloads

From £700
A written assessment rather than an engagement: what the current build does well, where it will cost you, and what the sequence should be. Useful before a replatform, before hiring, or when two credible people disagree about the stack. You get a document you own and can act on with anyone, including someone other than me.
Best for: A decision that is expensive to get wrong, before anyone commits code
- Crawl, performance, and accessibility findings with severity and effort
- Stack and architecture assessment against what you actually need
- A sequenced plan with what to do first and what to leave alone
- Written and yours to act on, with no obligation to hire me for the work
